Bio
Hey my name is Chris, or "Cone" as so many people know me as. I have a half-decent job over at Pizza the Hut and I am now getting my life together slowly but surely. Most people take a while to get to know me because I am different once you win over my trust than I am if I don't know you. Hey if you just meet me I'll probably seem like just any other shy quiet dude that just goes with the flow of things... but in all reality I pretty much hate those who lead this country and I plan on finding a way to change everything even if it costs me my own life. I'm not an anarchist but I'm not a conformist. I am all for revolution and I think 200+ years is enough time to make enough mistakes to burn them all away and rebuild apon the rubble. One way or the other, I believe America as we know it is going down, I just hope it's at the hands of the right people for the right reasons. Some people see me to be a lot more hardcore than I am, and other's see me to be alot more emoish than I am, this however is attributed to by the fact that I don't confide in any genre or faction. I'm big into the hardcore scene but as far as I'm concerned if you make it big you're not hardcore, unless of course you're still putting out cassette demo's for a few bucks or better yet FOR FREE. Taking this into consideration, I am fairly skeptical on whether or not the "leaders of hardcore" such as Stillborn Records is a good thing... I personally think the way people like Jamie Jasta commercially themselves and even their music is going to spread throughout the rest of Stillborn. Don't get me wrong, a good 50% of the bands there are decent hardcore bands, but the last thing the scene needs is for ANYTHING corperate. It's gotten this far without the money, and I think it could take over the world and still be pure without the label Stillborn seems to be trying to create for this type of music. So these days when I wanna headbang, spinkick chairs and scream to myself I listen to Unearth, Scars of Tomorrow, August Burns Red, First Blood, Full Blown Chaos, Integrity... etc etc. In terms of punk and/or "emo," I'm not somebody who listens to stupid shitty ass bands like Good Charlotte... I mean let's face it they're pop, they belong at the same shows as Brittany Spears and Pink. This doesn't mean I'm not into SOME (and I emphasize that word) "pop-punk." For a while I considered Brand New to be pop-punk but I loved most of their songs, now they are progressing into more of an Indie Rock direction which I found to be not a bad way to go for them. But yeah, punk you say? Dead Kennedy's, Black Flag, Anti-Flag, Misfits, old school Offspring... that kinda stuff. Emo you ask? Bright Eyes, Modest Mouse, Sharks Keep Moving and all of that stuff... well I guess that's more indie rock but I always have considered most indie rock to be true emo as opposed to poppy crap punk emo. I'm also into one or two of the newer British Metal Bands such as Dragonforce, and other Iron-Maiden style bands such as Iced Earth/Demons & Wizards. I listen to some rap too but I don't really have references, occasionally a really good song that's evolutionary to all the other trendy rap songs comes out and those are the songs I'll actually RAP along with. Jay Z need not apply. Okay enough about music, onto the rest of my life. I'm still a little bit of a partier, although now it's more of an occasion or exception than a rule. I'll smoke weed whenever I'm around my friends and I have it or it's around, and I'll get trashed once in a while although my stomach really blows now a days. No more 4 bottles of Captain Morgan's for me! What I want to do in the future is still up in the air, I'm just too interested in so many different things... it's like my friend Steph said, I have like 15 lives planned out in my head and I'd love to make it all come true at once. This, however is impossible and it disappoints me that we only live to be around a century in age, because I've got alot to do and not nearly enough time to do it.
